eTruck Trial Academy

Building confidence. Enabling investment. Accelerating adoption.

The transition to electric freight depends on fleets having the confidence to invest.

For fleets, electrification is a decision about routes, reliability, people and cost.

The Academy is designed to support flexible trials, from initial familiarisation to sustained commercial use. Participating operators will be able to assess how electric trucks perform carrying their freight, on their routes, against their service commitments.

Trials will help answer the questions that underpin an investment decision:

Real operations. Evidence for investment.

Operational fit

Can the vehicle meet route, payload and scheduling requirements?

Charging strategy

Where, when and for how long will it need to charge?

Driver experience

What changes in day-to-day use, and what support is needed?

Commercial performance

How do energy consumption, utilisation and cost per mile compare with existing operations?

Successful adoption requires vehicles, infrastructure and customer demand to work together.

Truck manufacturers

Provide demonstration vehicles and technical expertise, helping fleets evaluate the right truck for their operation.

Fleets and hauliers

Bring routes, drivers and operating requirements, testing electric vehicles against real commercial demands.

Shippers and logistics providers

Identify suitable freight movements and connect trials with opportunities for sustained electric operations.

Electroway

Provides the charging, parking, energy and driver facilities that support the trial.

Keoma Energy

Coordinates the programme and helps translate successful trials into longer-term infrastructure and service arrangements.

Take part in the Academy.

We welcome fleets considering electric trucks, manufacturers with vehicles to trial, and shippers and industry partners ready to support electric freight operations.

Tell us about your routes, vehicles or freight requirements. We will work with you to assess how the Academy could support your next step.

The Academy is in development. Trial scope, availability, costs and participation terms will be agreed with participating organisations.

Keoma Energy is developing the eTruck Trial Academy to build that confidence through practical experience.

Bringing vehicles, infrastructure and freight demand together, the Academy will enable fleets to assess battery-electric trucks within their own commercial operations before committing to wider adoption.

Based at Electroway Lutterworth, Magna Park Lutterworth, it will connect manufacturers and fleet operators with the charging, secure parking and driver facilities needed to turn a vehicle trial into a meaningful operational assessment.
